About Green Hill Solar
Who We Are
Green Hill Solar was created as a sister company toBeck Builders of Virginia to bring cost-effective alternative energy solutions tohomes, businesses, and farms in the Shenandoah Valley. Beck Builders pays careful attention to energy efficiency and sustainability in new and existing homes and buildings.
We installed our first Solar Photovoltaic (PV) system on the Leaman Carbon Neutral Home in 2017. Following that installation, we constructed numerous solar panel systems on new and existing homes and commercial projects, and Green Hill Solar quickly became a leading solar company in Virginia.
We are convinced that solar energy in the form of electricity generation makes economic and environmental sense for most homeowners or businesses.
Solar for the Community
Solar energy doesn’t just benefit individuals, we believe it can be positive for the community as a whole. But we know that solar isn’t financially accessible for everyone.
That’s why, since 2021, Green Hill Solar has been proud to partner with Give Solar to bring solar energy to homes of people in need!

As a Class A Building General Contractor and Licensed Alternative Energy Specialist in the Commonwealth of Virginia, we believe that we have a unique perspective and ability that blends alternative energy generation into a deep understanding of home and building systems. Any repairs, such as new roofing, can be seamlessly blended into a solar project.

If interested in a system, we provide free initial cost estimates and payback time-frames to determine if a Solar Panel System makes sense for you.
Further electricity production estimates and financial projections will be offered with a proposal, following a site visit to your specific location.
We make our designs based on careful analysis of orientation, size of space available for the solar panels, and current roof conditions (if a roof mount), using current design software and financial modeling based on historical trends in electricity costs.
